How to register?

Go to the Play Football online registration page (new look), and follow the prompts.

ALL players MUST have a PHOTO uploaded. Photos must be uploaded at the time of online registration. Tip- Uploading a whole head photo from your smartphone is the easiest way to do this as it will resize automatically.

As part of the Active Kids program, the NSW Government will provide a $100 voucher to parents/guardians of school enrolled children (aged 4.5-18 years old). The $100 voucher can be used towards your registration. Visit the Office of Sport website for more details.  If you would like to claim your voucher for football, follow these steps during online registration:

  1. Apply for active kids voucher on Service NSW website by following the prompts.
  1. Register on MyFootballClub and input the voucher code on the payment page.

When is Registration Day?

Registration day is at St George Maso’s (Auditorium) 86 Roberts Ave Mortdale. You can collect your gear from 11am – 3pm on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st January, Sunday 7th and Saturday 13th February 2021. ***Plus one extra registration day at Gannons Park on Wednesday 24th of February from 6pm – 7:30pm.****

But don’t let that stop you from completing the first step, which is your online registration with Play Football.

Club officials will be available to check proof of age for new players (original birth certificate, passport or drivers’ license) and accept registration fees as well as answer any questions you might have about Season 2021.

Everyone will need to collect their new gear on the dates specified above.

What if I am a new player?

You will need to attend Registration Day to supply proof of age – a birth certificate, passport, or driver’s licence. This will be verified by a club official, a photocopy taken and the original returned to you immediately. You must bring the original document as photocopies CANNOT be accepted. The information provided above in ‘Registration day’ applies to all players.

If I registered online do I need to attend Registration Day?

  • YES! EVERY registered player needs to turn up to collect their new 2021 playing gear.
  • All NEW players must come to have their proof of age confirmed and collect their gear.
  • EXISTING players need to come to pay registration fees, receive family discounts and collect their 2021 gear.

What do I need to bring to Registration Day?

If you are a NEW player and have not registered to play football before, you will need to bring the following with you:

  • the ORIGINAL copy of your birth certificate, passport or Driver’s License
  • registration fees (if not paid online).
  • a copy of your online registration
  • your Active Kids Voucher

Please note it is preferred if all players REGISTER ONLINE before you turning up to registration day to finalise registration and collect any gear. If you are experiencing trouble registering contact: [email protected]

How can I pay my registration fees?

Registration fees may be paid by CARD online when registering or on registration days by EFTPOS or CASH. Card fees do apply.

How much are the fees?

The 2021 season has seen us retain our existing fees without any increases. We always try to keep our fees as low as possible and it is with our fantastic sponsors help we are able to achieve this.

Please note: FNSW has discontinued the student registration discounted fee, and students are now required to pay the full senior fee. If this affects you and limits your ability to play football, please contact [email protected] in confidence.

NB:  $100 can be deducted for all school students with the Active Kids Voucher available from Service NSW online.

All players receive a new training shirt, shorts, socks.  In addition, all new players aged between 6-9 years will receive a ball and all new registered players will receive a Forest Rangers FC back pack.  You MUST come to Registration Day to collect your gear in person.

At the beginning of the season we hold our welcome BBQ, with a number of social activities throughout the season and to cap off a fun season we also hold our wonderful Junior and Senior Presentation events, just part of being with Forest Rangers FC!

What is the family discount?

To receive the family discount you MUST attend Registration Day and get a refund (if you paid online) or to pay the reduced amount (if you didn’t pay online). Please note the maximum discount for any family is $100.

Coach, Manager or RTO

What if I’m a Coach, Manager or RTO?

This year again ALL coaches, managers and RTOs will also need to register with Play Football.

Football NSW has introduced a new Working with Children Check Policy.   From the 2018 season and beyond, it is a requirement of Football NSW that all Technical Directors, Coaches, Managers, Referees and other persons in child related roles working or volunteering with children under 18 years obtain a WWCC and provide their Club, Association, Centre, Branch or Referee Branch with a valid WWC number.

For this reason:

  • All volunteers will now require a WWC number; and
  • All referees, will now require a WWC number.
  • The only exemption for these roles recognised by Football NSW is the exemption for persons aged under 18 years.

To apply for a WWCC, visit the Service NSW website to complete an online form, and complete your application by visiting your nearest Service NSW branch to get your ID checked. Once approved, your WWCC number will be emailed to you.  There is no fee if you are a volunteer, parent or carer.

When is my Team Selection night?

Please check our website from early February for details of Team Selection dates and times. We will also supply this information on Registration Day. It is very important that you attend so we can organise teams and get you in contact with your coach and manager. This is even more important for graded teams so that we can place you in a team of similar ability.

A final word

Remember, even if you have registered and paid this doesn’t mean you are eligible to play or coach in 2021 until our Registrar has approved your registration. Therefore, if we don’t have the required paperwork as outlined above or information requested, then we will NOT be able approve your registration and you won’t be able to play in pre-season trial matches or possibly for the initial games of Season 2021.
